This feature was introduced with iOS 10 as part of the Clock App.

As part of a greater focus on health, Apple introduced a new bedtime feature in iOS 10 for sleep that reminds you when to go to bed for a full night of rest, and also keeps track of your sleeping habits.

The app notes that going to bed and waking up at the same times every day are key to healthy sleep.
While following the easy set up instructions, you'll be able to customize the "Wake Up Sound Volume” and the "Wake Alarm” options, which are both big improvements over the standard iOS alarm options. 
Here’s how to get started with the Bedtime feature of the Clock App: 

Step 1 - Open the Clock App and Select Bedtime

Step 2 - Follow set up instructions

Step 3 - Adjust to your preferences

Step 4 - Use for a period of time

Step 5 - Monitor your progress

Since this feature is already built in to your iPhone's clock app, it's really a no-brainer to give it a try!
